Husker wide receiver Zavier Betts no longer on the team

(Lincoln, NE) -- Husker wide receiver Zavier Betts is no longer on the team.

Nebraska Head Coach Scott Frost made the announcement following Spring Practice Thursday morning, but didn't share any other details.

Betts, a Sophomore, played in every game last season, racking up 20 catches for 286 yards, three carries for 109 yards and one touchdown along the way. He ranked fourth on the team in receptions and receiving yards. Betts came to Lincoln from Bellevue West with more than 3,300 career receiving yards and a Class A state-record of 46 touchdown receptions.
