(Omaha, NE) -- An armed gas station robbery in south Omaha is under investigation.
Omaha Police say the VP Racing Gas Station near 13th and Atlas was robbed at gunpoint just after 5:30 Sunday evening. OPD says witnesses told officers that they saw a man enter the store and point a handgun at an employee before demanding money. Investigators say the employee gave the suspect cash and he fled the store on foot.
The suspect is described as a 6′4′ black man, wearing black, hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and a black ski mask. Police say he was carrying a silver and black handgun.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers. A $1,000 reward is eligible for tips that lead to an arrest.
