(La Vista, NE) -- Two people are killed in a La Vista crash.
The La Vista Police Department says around 8:15 Wednesday morning, emergency crews were called to the intersection of 72nd and Harrison for a multi-vehicle crash. Police say a vehicle was northbound on 72nd street when it hit another vehicle from behind at a high rate of speed, causing a chain reaction. Investigators say six vehicles in total were involved in the fatal crash.
LVPD says a man and a woman in separate vehicles died in the crash. Another person was taken to Bergan Mercy, while the other drivers were able to walk away from the crash on their own.
The crash remains under investigation.
