(Omaha, NE) -- One person is dead and another injured after a tree falls on them in northwest Omaha.
WOWT 6 News reports that Omaha Police say that a tree care crew was clearing trees out of an area near 162nd and Ida streets when some sort of accident occurred just after 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, causing a tree to fall on two of their workers. One person was declared dead at the scene. Another person was taken to the hospital with a severe leg injury.
The incident remains under investigation.
