One person killed in early morning crash southeast of Lincoln

(Lancaster County, NE) -- A woman is killed and a man is injured in an early morning crash southeast of Lincoln.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office says around 5:45 Monday morning, deputies were called to the area of 176th and Highway 2 for a report of a two-vehicle crash. The sheriff's office says that the preliminary investigation shows that a Chevy Silverado, driven by 39 year old Heidi Parrish of Talmage, NE, lost control due to slick road conditions, crossed the median and hit a westbound Ford F-250 driven by 56 year old Keith Schriner, of Adams, NE.

Investigators say Parrish was pronounced deceased on scene. Schriner was taken to Bryan West in non-life threatening condition. LSO says Schriner was wearing a seat belt, while Parrish was not. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor. Lancaster County Attorney Patrick Condon has ordered an autopsy to determine cause of death.
