(Omaha, NE) -- Lozier Corporation is teaming up with Metro Community College to provide full-ride scholarships and internship opportunities for high school seniors.
Lozier says it is now accepting applications to its Sponsorship for the Trades Program. The corporation says the program sponsors high school seniors interested in a career in the trades and provides full-ride scholarships to students pursuing a career in the trades at Metropolitan Community College. The program also gives the students a paid internship at Lozier and a full-time position at the company upon completion of the program.
The program includes:
- Paid summer internship at Lozier after high school graduation, prior to starting classes with wages ranging from $18.26 - $21.36 per hour, depending on shift.
- Paid tuition for two-year program at Metropolitan Community College including textbooks, tools and toolbox
- Paid Apprenticeship or $150 monthly stipend
- A full-time Tool and Die or Maintenance position following the completion of the program. Starting pay after graduating from MCC ranges from $25.67 - $29.21 per hour, depending on shift.
Lozier says currently, 26 percent of their Maintenance and Tool and Die Technicians were Sponsorship for the Trades students. Applications are available online through February 20th.
