(Omaha, NE) -- One person is killed in a fiery crash on westbound I-480 in downtown Omaha.
The crash was reported on westbound I-480 near 24th street around 12:30 Friday afternoon. WOWT 6 News reports that a dispatcher with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person died in in the crash near the Creighton University campus.
The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office was asking those traveling westbound out of Council Bluffs to avoid I-480 as they expected the area to be closed for some time. No other details have been provided at this time.
