(Lincoln, NE) -- The Husker Football program is losing one is its senior players.
On Monday, Inside Linebacker Will Honas tweeted that he is leaving Nebraska and entering the transfer portal to play his last year of eligibility somewhere else. The Wichita, Kansas native spent four years with the Huskers, playing in 23 games. Since 2018, Honas has suffered two knee injuries, one in the Fall of 2018 and a second in the Spring of 2021. Honas redshirted the 2018 season at NU after tearing his ACL in the fourth game of the season at Michigan. The second injured caused him to miss the entirety of the 2021 season.
In four seasons at Nebraska, Honas racked up 145 total tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss and four quarterback sacks.
