(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha man dies after being his by a pickup truck in North Omaha.
Omaha Police say just after 6:00 Thursday night, officers were called to the area of 56th and Ames after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. OPD says their investigation showed that a pedestrian, 33 year old Christian Bauerle, left the sidewalk on the south side of Ames Ave and walked into the eastbound traffic lanes of Ames, where he was hit by an eastbound Ford F-150 pickup. Bauerle was taken to Nebraska Medicine with life-saving measures in progress.
Omaha Police say shortly after arriving at the hospital, Bauerle was declared deceased.
