Adrian Martinez announces he's entering the transfer portal

(Lincoln, NE) -- After four years as the starting quarterback at Nebraska, Adrian Martinez announces that he is leaving the program.

On Thursday, Martinez took to twitter to say that he has entered the transfer portal and will spend his last year of eligibility at another university. He also has an additional year of eligibility with a potential redshirt, if he needs to use it. Martinez leaves the program with sixteen school records, including total offense, career completions and freshman total offense. Martinez is also the first three-time captain in the Husker football program.

In his four years at Nebraska, Martinez made 45 passing touchdowns and 35 rushing touchdowns in 39 games. No word yet on where Martinez will end up.
