The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department will thank and honor veterans with the annual "Veterans Shine On" lighting ceremony at Memorial Park.
The event will be Thursday, November 4th, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Among the guest speakers will be USAF Col. Ret. Jeffrey Mikesell.
Special guests will perform a wreath laying ceremony.
The event will also include singing from the "Q Street Quartet," music from "Guitars 4 Vets," hot cocoa and dessert, and the grand lighting of the WWII Colonnade.
