(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha man is injured while attempting to stop two suspects from breaking into a vehicle.
The Omaha Police Department says officers were called to the area of 123rd and Blondo around 1:45 Wednesday morning for a reported shooting. Investigators say once on the scene, officers spoke with the victim, 35-year-old Patrick Soukup, who said he approached two juvenile males who were attempting to break into a vehicle. Soukup says he yelled at the suspects and then the suspects fired a gun at him.
Soukup sustained a non-life threatening injury, with medics treating him at the scene. Police say the suspects fled in a black four-door vehicle with a spoiler.
