Omaha Fire investigators say the fire in a newly built, unoccupied home at 24th and Spaulding Street Thursday evening was incendiary in nature.
A passerby noticed smoke in the area and called OFD.
Firefighters found smoke coming from the rear of the place, located a fire inside, and extinguished it.
No injuries reported;
Anyone with information should contact the ARSON hotline 402-444-FIRE or "Omaha Crime Stoppers" at 402-444-STOP.
A reward may be available for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
