Police are in the early stages of their investigation into the shooting, which was around 7:30 a.m. Thursday at a house near 61st and Pratt Streets.
The victim was declared dead at the scene as police searched for a gunman.
There is a report one person was taken into custody a few blocks away from the shooting scene.
