(Sarpy County, NE) -- Bond is set for a former metro gymnastics coach accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
On Thursday, a Sarpy County Judge set bond at $250,000 for 30 year old Alex Thomas, a former Metro Stars gymnastics coach, who is facing two third-degree child sexual assault charges. Thomas had coached at Metro Stars for four years. The alleged contact reportedly happened between January and February of this year.
The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office says based on locations and time frames of Thomas’ employment at Omaha Metro gymnastic businesses, they are investigating the possibility that there may be additional victims. The Sheriff’s Office also applauded the victim saying that they are, "Grateful for the courage of the victim and others who have come forward with information."
