(Council Bluffs, IA) -- The search is on for a suspect accused of shooting a woman at a Council Bluffs motel.
Council Bluffs Police say officers were called to the American Inn near 24th street and Interstate 80 just after 1:30 Wednesday morning for a reported shooting. Once on the scene, officers found a 40 year old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators say the suspect's vehicle is a newer, silver Hyundai Sonata. Police say there were three Hispanic men and a woman in the suspect vehicle at the time of the shooting. It is not clear at this point if the victim knew the shooter or the people in the car. CBPD is looking for the suspects and the investigation remains ongoing.
