The "Dog Days of Summer" continue with a Heat Advisory from one to eight today.
Peak heat index values from 104 to 108 are expected.
The advisory is for portions of East Central and Southeast Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, including the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro.
WOWT 6 News' Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says storm chances are greatest to our north through the day today, tonight and into early Friday, with best chance of severe weather likely north as well.
