Facemasks will be required in the Omaha Public School District this year.
The school board voted Monday night during a special meeting to implement a mask policy.
Under the policy, all students and staff will be required to wear facemasks in O-P-S.
Earlier this summer, before a rise in coronavirus cases and concern over protecting younger students, the Omaha Public Schools had said they planned to make facemasks optional.
The Millard and Bellevue school boards did not vote on the mask issue at their meetings.
Also, no changes to mask policies came out of the Papillion -La Vista or Bennington school board meetings Monday night.
