Two teens shot outside of Lincoln move theater remain in critical condition

(Lincoln, NE) -- Two teens shot outside of a Lincoln movie theater remain in critical condition.

Lincoln Police say around 8:00 Monday night, officers were called to a parking lot on the east side of Edgewood Theater for a report of gunshots. Police say witnesses told officers that people from two vehicles were shooting at each other. Once on the scene, officers found a 19 year old man inside a black Mercedes with a gunshot wound to the facial area and an 18 year old man laying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds to the leg and hip area.

LPD says officers rendered first aid to the victims until Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived. Both victims were transported to local area hospitals in critical condition. Investigators say officers spoke to another 18 year old man at the scene who said he had been with the two victims at the time of the shooting.

Investigators believe that the three men met with people in another vehicle in the parking lot before the shots were fired. The shooting remains under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
