Another Heat Advisory is in effect until 9 p.m. Thursday for Douglas, Sarpy, Pottawattamie, Saunders and Butler Counties.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses;
High heat and humidity are expected at locations along and south of I-80 with afternoon heat indices of 105-113 degrees. Conditions will be a bit more bearable Thursday across northeast Nebraska into west-central Iowa, to the north of a front moving through the area.
A reminder to drink plenty of fluids, and, if you can, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
