(Nemaha County, NE) -- A former, longtime Nebraska sports writer is charged with four counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child.
Court documents show that Brian Rosenthal was arrested after a warrant was filed Wednesday. He is due in Nemaha County courtroom Tuesday morning. According to the complaint filed Monday, the incidents occurred from December 2017 to February 2018 and involved sexual penetration with a victim between the ages of 12 and 16.
Rosenthal joined the University of Nebraska Athletic Department in September of 2016 as a writer and creative content specialist for Huskers.com. He was also a longtime writer in the newspaper business, previously working at the Lincoln Journal Star from 2001 to 2016. He has also written for the Hutchinson News and York News-Times.
