Nebraska State Troopers Say They Clocked Vehicle Doing 150 On I-80

The Nebraska State Patrol says troopers arrest a Colorado man following a pursuit on I-80 in Buffalo County early Friday in which the suspect vehicle reached speeds in excess of 150 Miles Per Hour.

The Patrol says approximately 1:30 a.m. Friday, a trooper clocked a 2012 Audi traveling 103 miles per hour on I-80 eastbound near Kearney.

That trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle accelerated and fled with the law officer in pursuit.

Investigators say the vehicle reached speeds in excess of 150 miles per hour during the pursuit, before it exited at the Shelton interchange, driving north to U.S. Highway 30 and eventually stopping after becoming high-centered on railroad tracks.

Troopers then took the driver into custody without incident.

20-year old Jacob Rhoades of Parker, Colorado was arrested for flight to avoid arrest and willful reckless driving..
