South Omaha State Senator Tony Vargas officially announces his campaign for the Democratic Party Second District Congressional nomination.
The two term legislator hopes to challenge incumbent Republican Don Bacon in the 2022 General election.
Bacon was first elected to the U.S. House in 2016.
Former U.S. Senate candidate Alisha Shelton is also seeking the Democratic nomination, having made her announcement earlier this month.
