City Of Omaha, Contractor Plan For Tree Debris Collection

Emergency curbside debris pickup will begin Monday in the City of Omaha.

The City says "FCC Environmental" will collect storm debris along with its regular garbage and recycling service.

Tree debris can be placed in the 96-gallon trash carts or in brown yard waste bags on your regular day of collection.

Pre-paid stickers will not be required this week.

The City of Omaha is asking residents to completely fill the garbage carts with garbage and yard waste before you set anything out on the curb.

They also encourage those who are able to continue to use one of the six drop-off locations.

Bundles of debris will also be picked up but they need to be not more than 4 feet long, under 6 inches in diameter, and under 40 pounds.

There could be delays for the crews trying to get around and pick up increased loads.
