(Omaha, NE) -- Charges are pending against an intoxicated driver in a fatal pre-dawn crash.

Omaha Police say just after 4:00 Friday morning, officers were called to the area of 90th and Dodge for a crash. Investigators say a Chevy Equinox and Toyota Camry were both eastbound on Dodge when the vehicles sideswiped each other just past 90th Street. Police say the Toyota went into a slide and hit a concrete wall at a Orbit bus stop, causing the Toyota to come to rest on its roof. The Chevy went over the raised median, hit a median sign, spun and came to rest on its roof in the westbound Dodge St. traffic lanes near 87th St.

OPD says the driver of the Toyota, 63 year old James Yungbluth of Waterloo, was declared dead at the scene by OFD Medics. Police say the intoxicated driver of the Chevy, 28 year old John Caillau of Omaha, was taken to Bergan Mercy with serious injuries. Charges are pending against Caillau.
