The National Weather Service in Omaha says non-severe thunderstorms and rain are expected Saturday afternoon with the best chances in far northeast Nebraska.
Precipitation is expected to move out of the area by 7 p.m.
Periodic non-severe storm chances will exist Sunday through Wednesday.
WOWT 6 News "First Alert" forecaster David Koeller says Sunday should bring some drier weather, though there will still be a chance for an isolated shower or storm in the afternoon.
He says temperatures for the weekend will be on the cool side for June, topping out in the upper 70's to low 80's.
Scattered rain chances will continue for the start of next week, lasting through at least Wednesday.
Temperatures will remain just below average for June, topping out in the low to mid 80s.
David say we should dry out by the end of the week, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80's for the 4th of July weekend.
