Bond denied for teen accused in double homicide, $2.5 bond for 2nd suspect

(Omaha, NE) -- Two teens accused in a double homicide make a court appearance to learn if they're eligible for bond.

On Wednesday, bond was denied for 16 year old Terrance Moore. He is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, two counts of using a firearm to commit a felony and one count of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. Bond for 17 year old Lerajai Key was set at $2.5 million. He is charged with conspiracy to commit a Class 1A felony and accessory to a Class 2 or 3 felony.

Moore and Key are accused of shooting 17-year-olds Jiaquan Williams and Javondre McIntosh near 29th and Pinkney on June 4th. Both teens were found lying in a nearby yard and transported to Nebraska Medicine. Williams died shortly after the shooting, McIntosh died two days later.

Moore and Key were arrested June 15th in the Kansas City area. They are scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. July 30 in Douglas County Court.
