The first case of the COVID-19 "Delta" variant is discovered in Douglas County.
The County Health Department announces they are in the early stages of investigating the contact history of the case, which involves a woman in her 40's.
The World Health Organization says the "Delta" variant could be deadlier and will "pick off" those most vulnerable.
It's already becoming the dominant variant around the globe.
