Property valuation protest forms must be filed by next week

(Undated) -- Property and homeowners wanting to challenge their yearly valuations will need to do so soon.

The State of Nebraska issued a reminder on Monday that valuation protests are due by the end of the month. The Nebraska Department of Revenue and Property Assessment Divison says property owners who wish to protest any valuation changes that they must submit them to the county clerk’s office where the property is located by Wednesday, June 30th.

If submitting the protest by mail, “the protest is considered filed on the date of the postmark,” the release states. Property owners can get in touch with their county clerk for more information on filing the protest forms.
