(Omaha, NE) -- An inmate at the Douglas County Jail is found dead in his cell.
Douglas County Department of Corrections Director Mike Myers says just after 3:00 Monday afternoon, 24 year old Victor Harman was found unresponsive in his cell. "Lifesaving care was immediately initiated by Douglas County Department of Corrections staff and continued by Omaha Fire Department personnel who responded to DCDC. Unfortunately, those measures were not successful and Mr. Harman was declared deceased. The Department of Corrections extends our sincere condolences to Mr. Harman’s family and loved ones.”
Harman was booked on June 3rd and was serving a 30-day sentence for a second DUI offense and a second offense of driving during revocation. No further information will be released, officials say, with an awaiting investigation from a grand jury.
