City of Ralston drops mask mandate

(Ralston, NE) -- Another Omaha metro area town is dropping their mask mandate.

Tuesday night, the Ralston City Council voted unanimously to immediately drop their citywide mask mandate. The move comes following a recent change in Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID-19 guidance. The CDC now says that those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can be indoors without a mask.

Ralston city leaders still encourage those who are not vaccinated to continue wearing masks and social distancing while in public spaces. Omaha's mask mandate is set to expire next week, on Tuesday, May 25th.
