Officers were sent to the area of 28th Ave. and Izard St. late Thursday night on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, they found 23-year-old James Jackson, who was suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.
Investigators say Jackson was taken to a hospital where it was determined his injuries were non-life-threatening.
