Fremont man suspected of abducting his son arrested in Missouri

(Fremont, NE) -- A 6 year old Fremont boy abducted Thursday night is located in Missouri.

WOWT reports that Fremont Police say the boy and a man believed to be his father, Pedro Juarez, were found Friday morning. Investigators say the boy was abducted at around 7:30 Thursday night, from a home in the 400 block of West Sixth Street. Police were looking for Pedro Juarez, also known as Thomas Juarez, who did not live at the residence but was believed to be the boy’s father.

Friday morning, FPD said in a release that 38 year old Juarez was in custody in Boonville, Missouri, which is located about 100 miles east of Kansas City. Police said the pair had been spotted at a truck stop in Boonville and that the boy was safe.

Charges against Juarez are pending as the investigation continues. Arrangements are being made to have the boy returned to Nebraska.
