Mother's Day Weekend Features Rain

6 News "First Alert" Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says we’ll have sunshine most of Friday, with a high near 70. There will be a few clouds that develop from time to time as well.

Clouds will move in Friday night leading to a cloudy weekend.

Those clouds will try to produce some rain Saturday morning mainly north of the Omaha/CB Metro.

The rest of the day Saturday will likely feature a few very light showers under the thick layer of clouds possibly warming into the lower 60's.

Any rain before 5 p.m. Saturday will be spotty and rather light.

Heavier rain and some storms may show up after 5 p.m. and continue into the overnight hours.

The bulk of any heavy rain and storms likely hold off until after 5 p.m. well into the overnight.

That is when some 1″+ rainfall is possible for parts of the area; It will be cloudy on Mother's Day as well.
