Omaha National Weather Service Tracks Historical Severe Weather Trends

We have been talking about chilly Spring temperatures and early morning freeze warnings in Nebraska and Southwest Iowa the last few days, and the forecast is fairly quiet for the next few days.

But, meteorologists know the deeper into Spring we go chances for severe weather increase.

No such worries now;

The 6 News' "First Alert" forecast has the high around 50 degrees Thursday.

More clouds move in Thursday night, and by Friday morning we’ll be seeing rain showers across Central Nebraska.

It looks like we’ll start to see some rain in the Metro by Friday afternoon.

Rain showers wrap up early Saturday morning.

Between the two days, it looks like Omaha could pick up as much as .25″ of rain with up to a .5″ southwest towards Lincoln.
