(Douglas County, NE) -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is getting a grant to help provide them with in-cruiser cameras.
The sheriff's office says they received a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Office to purchase two in-car camera systems. NDOT Highway Safety Office Administrator William Kovarik says, “In-car cameras have become vital for law enforcement these days. The industry is becoming more technologically sophisticated and this will help improve both highway and law enforcement safety."
The total grant funding for the project is up to $7,000.
