The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says the investigation continues Monday after an inmate is accused of assaulting another prisoner at the Lincoln Correctional Center over the weekend.
Corrections says the inmate was hospitalized with serious head injuries after being attacked by a cellmate Saturday night.
The Lancaster County Attorney's office will eventually review reports and make any charging decisions.
