Investigators say the arrest is in connection with a shooting last Saturday night at 20th and Maple Streets.
They say 31-year-old Deandre Jimerson suffered an apparent gunshot wound.
Jimerson said he was shot during an altercation at a convenience store near Florence Boulevard and Miami Street.
Detectives say they identified 43-year old Gilbert McCabe as a person wanted in the assault and arrested him Tuesday without incident.
They say McCabe was booked into Douglas County Corrections for 2nd Degree Felony Assault, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
The investigation is ongoing.
