Arrest In Fatal Friday Morning Omaha Crash

Omaha Police accident investigators say a car driven by 26 -year old Edward Purvis Junior of Omaha was eastbound on the Northwest Radial Highway at 49th Street just after midnight Friday when it left the street, struck a pole and rolled over.

Police say a unrestrained passenger, 23-year old Ava-Lepree Carroll- Fansler of Papillion, was thrown from the vehicle.

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say Purvis was booked into Douglas County Corrections for Motor Vehicle Homicide- Willful Reckless.

Investigators say they believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
