As minority communities lag behind white people in COVID-19 vaccinations, Douglas County is making more moves to close the gap.
The department has opened a new long-term vaccination clinic at 35th & L to make vaccines more accessible to the Hispanic community.
Health director Dr. Adi Pour says the county is also looking to set up a drive-thru clinic at the Metro Community College campus in South Omaha, similar to the one they have at Fort Street in North Omaha.
