Ralston is moving into the next phase of its Hinge Redevelopment Plan.
Officials broke ground yesterday on a 20-million dollar, six-acre project that will bring residential and commercial space to the Granary District.
The first phase of the redevelopment plan is a downtown building that will offer apartments and townhomes. The city of Ralston estimates that the entire redevelopment plan will be a $200-250 million project when completed.
Ralston City Administrator Rick Hoppe says he hopes the casino being built just a couple of miles from the new development will help the new businesses attract customers.
