A man arrested in Cozad in southwest Nebraska is accused of an August 1981 murder in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado.
Investigators say new D-N-A analysis of evidence from the murder of Sylvia Quayle has led to the arrest of 62-year-old David Dwayne Anderson in the Dawson County community.
Sylvia Quayle was found shot, stabbed and strangled in her home.
Police say she was likely sexually assaulted.
Investigators say Anderson's DNA was confirmed after officers recovered his trash and a testing match was found on a can.
Anderson is in custody in Nebraska, awaiting extradition to the Denver suburb.
