Omaha Police responded to the "Mega Saver" at Northwest Radial Highway and Hamilton St. Monday night to investigate a cutting.
The 34-year old victim told officers a woman shoplifted numerous cell phones and attempted to flee the store on foot.
Investigators say the victim confronted the person and grabbed the phones, but was stabbed numerous times.
The accused shoplifter then fled on foot.
Police say the injuries to the vicitm are not considered life threatening.
Police say the shoplifter was described as a black female wearing a tie-dye shirt, black stretch pants, a dark headband and blue mask, with her hair in a bun.
