Police looking for man who robbed the Omaha Police Federal Credit Union

(Omaha, NE) -- The search is on for a man who police say robbed an Omaha bank Monday afternoon.

The Omaha Police Department says the robbery was reported at the Omaha Police Federal Credit Union near 84th and Center just before 1:30 Monday afternoon. Investigators say the suspect entered the Credit Union wearing a mask and holding a firearm. He then demanded money from the registers and after receiving an undetermined amount of cash, fled on foot. Witnesses told police that they saw the suspect get into a white SUV, possibly a Cadillac Escalade and flee onto I-80 westbound at a high rate of speed.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a large stature, wearing a black coat. The flee vehicle is described as a white, dirty SUV with no plates, possibly a Cadillac Escalade.

The investigation is on going.
