Man hit with a car by his girlfriend following fight

(Lincoln, NE) -- A woman is behind bars in Lincoln, accused of hitting her boyfriend with her car.

Lincoln Police say just before 10:00 Tuesday night, officers were called to an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Superior Street for a traffic accident. Investigators say when officers got to the scene, they spoke with a 32 year old man who told them that his girlfriend, 24 year old Miko Williams, had hit him with a vehicle after they had an argument.

LPD says the victim told officers that he was trying to walk away from Williams' vehicle when she accelerated backwards towards him, hitting him with her SUV. Investigators say that officers observed evidence at the scene consistent with the victim’s account of what happened. Police say after hitting the victim with her vehicle, Williams left the area in the white Toyota Rav4. Police say as an officer was responding to the scene, a white Rav4 was seen on Superior Street. LPD says the officer pulled the vehicle over and identified the driver as Williams.

Police say the victim’s injuries were minor, but consistent with being hit by the vehicle. Williams was arrested for 2nd Degree Domestic Assault.
