(Omaha, NE) -- One lucky Omaha cat may have used up a few of his nine lives, but is now safe and warm after being rescued by the Nebraska Humane Society.
The feline, now lovingly named Rasputin, was rescued by an animal control officer who found his head trapped in a chain-link fence in bitterly cold temperatures. In a tweet, the NHS said Officer Miller stepped in to rescue Rasputin by cutting him free from the fence. Rasputin was then rushed to an emergency clinic to remove the rest of the fencing.
Rasputin is expected to make a full recovery and will be adopted out.
