Injuries Reported In Omaha Apartment Fire

Investigators look for the cause of a fire in northwest Omaha, which crews fought in the extreme weather conditions.

The Omaha Fire Department reports a number of people were taken to the hospital to have injuries evaluated after the apartment building fire around ten Sunday night near 83rd and Blondo Streets.

Omaha Fire says no firefighters were injured, but they had to rotate crews because of the extreme cold and snow while helping people who were displaced.

The fire was in a garden level apartment, and took about 20 minutes to bring under control.
