(Council Bluffs, IA) -- A years-long road project in Council Bluffs is entering its final phase.
The city of Council Bluffs says construction on West Broadway is coming to a close, as the West Broadway Reconstruction Project enters its fifth phase.
The city says the reconstruction project will enhance the vitality and aesthetic of the road. Segment 5 construction will take place from 19th Street to 15th Street.
The City has developed a brief, informational video that provides design details for Segment 5 in lieu of hosting their usual in-person public meeting. The video can be viewed here.
“We are thrilled to be wrapping up construction on West Broadway this year,” said Mayor Matt Walsh. “We ask that drivers slow down and stay alert in construction zones so that everyone - construction workers, other drivers, and you - can go home safe every day.”
