(Council Bluffs, IA) -- Garbage crews in Council Bluffs are working to get caught up on collections following Monday's snow storm.
The City of Council Bluffs says Waste Connections is still working to collect Monday’s and Tuesday’s trash as of Wednesday. The city is asking residents to place trash out one day later than their usual scheduled day. They say if the garbage hasn’t been collected by 6:00 Saturday night, then residents should bring it back from the curb and set it out on their normal collection day next week.
The city says containers must be placed in a cleared driveway or a clean place, with at least five feet of cleared roadway to accommodate collections. City leaders say trash left on a snowdrift runs the risk of not being collected.
Recycling will be collected in a separate truck in order to stay on schedule.
