Nebraska Set to Launch New Vaccine Registration Platform

When Nebraska launches its new vaccine registration platform later this week, Nebraska residents will be able to go online to register for COVID-19 vaccines within their health district.

The Microsoft Vaccine Registration and Administration Solution (VRAS), which will be the registration platform for all Nebraskans, will be able to prioritize for age and underlying health conditions to select and schedule those registered.

In anticipation of the VRAS system launch, East Central District Health Department (ECDHD) will stop using their website to register persons for the vaccine at 8:00 p.m. (CST), Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Residents from Boone, Colfax, Nance, and Platte counties who have been confirmed as being on the vaccine list will have their information transferred into the new VRAS system by ECDHD. Those persons who did not provide an email address when they registered will receive a phone call from ECDHD, one of the hospitals in the ECDHD jurisdiction, or the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NE DHHS), and given further instruction. Persons who did not register with ECDHD by the cut-off time will need to wait and register on the new VRAS system when it is launched.

More information regarding the exact time and date of the VRAS launch will be given by Governor Ricketts' office later this week. Details about the VRAS registration process and the URL will also be shared at that time, along with a new NE DHHS hotline number that residents can call for assistance in registering for the vaccine.
